I am fully funded.
I can’t believe it’s true! This has never happened.
My friend frequently talks about the number seven as the number of completion. This strikes me in that this is my eighth trip of this kind. The seventh occurred over a year ago and a great amount of healing and personal awareness occurred since that time. I know this trip is different. I’ve probably said that before. But, this reality in the fund-raising aspect is obvious evidence to me of this fact.
Previously I’ve never fully fund-raised my portion of the trip cost. I’ve sent letters asking for support and fund-raising in some form or another for each of my previous seven trips. Africa by far is the greatest cost and I cruised through my fund-raising goal in a mere six weeks. I’m kinda confused but so very grateful. Thank you friends and family.
One thing I’ve done differently, without a doubt, is step up the prayer. I’ve been praying for my own personal fund raising more than ever before. We always pray as a team and that is no different. However, in my open handedness with this entire venture, I have also changed my attitude with my prayers toward fund-raising. Every donation is a gift. It’s not something I have to do to be able to go. This is not a test of whether or not my friends and family believe in me and what I’m doing. This is not a test of whether or not I wrote a compelling enough letter. This is not a test. Every time a new name pops up on my fund-raising update, I give thanks. I give thanks that I’m one step closer in the process.
Praise God for his faithful abundance.
